Project Information

The City of Casey are applying for $200,000 of grant funding to help deliver a much needed oval drainage upgrade at Edwin Flack Reserve, Berwick.

The project will deliver an upgrade to the existing sub surface drainage system which has reached the end of its lifespan. The new system will ensure the user groups and general community can get full use of a high-quality ground all year around.

This project was originally identified as part of a larger group of projects within the recently completed Master Plan for the Reserve, however due to the poor condition of the oval drainage the project has been prioritised for early delivery.

Cost:

Total project cost is $300,000. The maximum amount of grant funding available is $200,000, which require council to co-fund this project with a $100,000 contribution.

Timing:

Works will commence in late Spring 2023 and will be completed by early Autumn 2024. The oval will have restricted access for user groups and community during this period, with alternate grounds for organised sport made available.
