About this project

The Berwick Springs Wetlands Reserve Masterplan was endorsed by Council in 2016 to improve the reserve for residents and visitors. As part of the master planning process, we’ve identified the need for a public toilet to service the users of the reserve.

We undertook community engagement in October 2022 to seek feedback on our proposal to upgrade the Berwick Springs Wetlands Reserve west playground which included a new public toilet facility. Following advice provided by Melbourne Water and community feedback, we’ve relocated the public toilet.

We’re proposing to install the new public toilet facilities in a centralised location adjacent to the south playground in the Berwick Springs Wetlands Reserve.

What we asked

Between 22 January to 16 February 2024, we asked our community to provide feedback on the location and design of the proposed public toilet via an online survey and written submission form.

We heard from 121 participants, including 114 online survey submissions, 2 written submissions, and 5 email submissions. We’ve summarised feedback below, or you can read the complete report.
