The City of Casey's Playground Strategy identifies sites within the municipality for the installation of new playgrounds. New district and local level playgrounds are funded by our Capital Works Program and are delivered within the financial year. The works will include a playground renewal program which is compliant with Australian Standards.
The Berwick Springs Wetland Reserve (West) Playground, corner of The Esplanade and Berwick Springs Promenade, Narre Warren South, has been identified in the Playground Strategy for renewal. Located at the west end of the Reserve, Council is undertaking design works during the 2022/23 financial year and is seeking feedback from the community around what features should be included in the new playground. Subject to available funding, works are expected to commence in the 2023/24 financial year. An accessible public toilet, barbecue and picnic shelter are also proposed as part of the works.
We invite you to complete either the child or young person survey or parent and community member survey (below). Children may also choose to complete the 'Draw your dream playground' option and email to: firstname.lastname@example.org
By completing the survey or drawing, you will go in the draw to win a $50 Westfield voucher or one of two family passes to Myuna Farm in Doveton. You can view the T&C's here.
Consultation closes Monday 14 November 2022.
