Project information

We all have a role to play in supporting the wellbeing of children and young people and keeping them safe from abuse, harm and neglect. With new Child Safe Standards released by the State Government in 2021, Council is taking the lead in prioritising the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in the City of Casey. The new Child Safe Standards have a strong focus on engaging the community in decision that affect them, and in particular, ensuring that the opinions of children and young people are included in these discussions. Information collected from this survey will help to inform Council’s new Child Safe Communication and Engagement Strategy.

To ensure Council is doing all it can to support the safety and wellbeing of children and young people, we want to hear from our community to find out your views on child safety and how we can ensure children and young people have a voice in decisions that affect them. There are two surveys: one for parents and adult members of the community and one for children and young people. The Child Safe Survey (below) will close at 5pm Wednesday 9 November 2022.
