Following consultation in September and October 2023, the project team have been working on developing the draft concept for Ackland Park Reserve. Thanks to feedback, we have been able to design a draft concept plan taking into account comments and ideas from the local community.

The concept plan has been guided by the key themes that have emerged during consultation process. Delivery will be subject to Council's annual budget process. Key themes included:

• An improved playground with more adventure-based play elements.
• Additional shelter with picnic tables and seating.
• A half basketball/multi-use court.

The proposed project will look to renew the existing playground and provide additional infrastructure to this local level reserve.

The upgrade will include the following:

• Upgraded playground equipment
• Multi-use Pumptrack (to replace the existing BMX track);
• Multi-use Basketball/Netball Court;
• Additional seating
• Sheltered BBQ and picnic area
• New Connection Footpaths;
• Fitness Equipment;
• Additional trees planted for more shade

The final designs have been created. Work will commence in mid-February and be completed by the end of June 2025.
