Arts & Cultural Strategic Service Plan Update

8 December 2022

At the beginning of 2022, City of Casey commenced a process to develop the new Arts and Culture Strategic Service Plan.

Council developed a program to engage the community and arts organisations within Casey, to better understand the needs and aspirations of our community to help shape the new Arts and Culture Strategic Service Plan 2022 – 2026.

City of Casey conducted an online survey between February and March 2022 through its online portal Casey Conversations. 118 survey responses were collected during this period.

The City of Casey then commissioned MosaicLab to conduct focus groups and interviews. The purpose of the focus groups was to create opportunities for the community to provide a deeper level of input.

Focus Groups were scheduled between 27 April- 26 May 2022. In total, 27 participants joined the two face–to- face sessions and one online session. There was a broad spread of people in all groups who either made, supported, or enjoyed the arts (or a combination of all three). One of the focus groups was focused on young people or people who work with young people.

A current state report has been completed for internal stakeholders this includes Key Emerging Insights that will be used to develop a Future State Report. The Future State Report will be shared for community feedback in 2023.
