Project objective

Under the Local Government Act 2020, Victorian councils must give their community the opportunity to contribute to key planning documents in line with their community engagement policy.

The community consultation objective is to engage the Casey community in reviewing and providing feedback on Council’s draft Budget and Annual Action Plan 2026/27 and related financial documents, ensuring proposed projects, services and investments reflect community priorities and support a stronger, more connected, liveable and sustainable city in line with Community Vision 2035 and the Council Plan 2025–29.

Public exhibition of strategic documents

Decision-making process

Draft documents will be on public exhibition from 23 April to 14 May 2026. Our councillors can hear submissions at a special council meeting on Tuesday, 26 May 2026.

Council will consider the documents at Council Meeting on Tuesday 16 June 2026.
