We asked what you think about the Casey Australia Day Awards—and asked for suggestions and ideas for improvement.

The City of Casey has been delivering Australia Day Awards for over two decades and during that time has recognised many outstanding individuals and community groups.

All of the individuals and groups have contributed to the quality of life within Casey and delivered a benefit to ensure community members are included, supported and stay connected with each other.

Traditionally we have awarded a Citizen, Young Citizen and Senior Citizen of the Year award along with a Community Group of the Year award at a luncheon held on Australia Day, at Bunjil Place. All winners were decided by an independent panel made up of community representatives (no Council officers).

To ensure we are delivering the best awards and recognising our whole community, we undertook a short community engagement survey to find out from you, our residents, how we can make the Casey Australia Day Awards even better.

The consultation closed on Friday 2 October.

Once we have reviewed the feedback, we will gain a better idea of how the community would like to celebrate the awards.
