Casey’s waste service is changing for the better.

The State Government is standardising household waste and recycling services across Victoria, which will see all council kerbside services move to a 4-bin system by 2027.

The changes have been prompted by the State Government policy Recycling Victoria: A new economy.

The aim of the policy is to reduce resources sent to landfill and simplifying kerbside services across all Councils.

As a result of this policy, all Casey properties will have a four-bin system with consistent bin lid colours by 2027:

  • General rubbish (red lid)
  • Co-mingled recycling (yellow lid)
  • Food and garden waste (lime green lid)
  • Glass (purple lid)

Waste collection and disposal is an essential service conducted by the City of Casey. To better understand your preferences for waste management, we are seeking your feedback via the survey below.

We will also be hosting a number of pop-ups where you can come along in-person and have your say.

Your input will help Council to maximise resource recovery and provide a user-friendly, waste service in the future.

To thank you for contributing to this important work, everyone who completes the survey will be eligible for a chance to win a $100 gift voucher.

We want to hear from you
