Project information

The City of Casey announced in October 2022 that it intends to streamline the management and operations of seven aquatic and leisure centres, to increase health and wellbeing opportunities for the benefit of our local community.

The decision follows a comprehensive review of Council’s leisure centres, which include Casey Recreation and Aquatic Centre (RACE), Casey Aquatic and Recreation Centre (ARC), Doveton Pool in the Park, Casey Stadium, Endeavour Hills Leisure Centre, Olive Road Sporting Complex (Olive Road), and The Shed Skatepark (The Shed).

Currently, these seven sites are managed by three separate partners, across four separate contracts or service agreements. Council is preparing to launch a tender process later this year for the management of these sites. Due to the unique services offered by both Olive Road and The Shed, the tender will provide an option for stand-alone bids for these two sites or an overarching contract for the management of all seven facilities.

To help us understand who uses our aquatic and leisure centres, and what these facilities are typically used for, we are asking for your help. Equally, if you don’t currently use one or more of our aquatic and leisure centres, please tell us the reasons why. We’ve developed a Community Use Survey – Aquatic and Leisure Centres, to help us capture the views and valued opinions of our local community.

Complete the survey below to enter the prize draw to win one of three family swim passes at either Casey ARC or RACE facilities. The survey closes at 5.00 pm on Monday 22 May 2023.
