Subject to community engagement, Department of Transport have provided City of Casey with in-principle support to reduce the speed limit from 80km/h to 70km/h on Churchill Park Drive (Section between Power Road and Police Road, Lysterfield South) to the existing 70km/h section near Police Road.

This will result in a consistent 70km/h speed limit on the semi-rural section of Churchill Park Drive. It will also avoid confusion by motorists regarding divided speed limits on the same section of road, and help mitigate risk associated with the occurrence of wildlife and vehicle interactions from adjoining bushland.
