Help shape active recreation at The Common Reserve

We’re planning improvements to The Common Reserve and nearby Trenton Court in Narre Warren South, and we want your input.

This project is exploring new active recreation opportunities at The Common Reserve and the future of the existing basketball court at Trenton Court.

We’re considering two options: relocating the basketball court to The Common Reserve and transforming Trenton Court into a landscaped social space, or exploring other recreation ideas based on community feedback.

No decisions have been made. Your feedback will help shape the final design.

Where are these sites?

The map below shows the locations of The Common Reserve and the nearby Trenton Court site. We’re seeking community feedback on the future of both spaces. One option being explored is relocating the basketball court to The Common Reserve, which could provide existing users with access to a wider range of recreation features in one central location.

How you can influence the project

    • Preferred active recreation features (e.g. basketball or multi-use courts, fitness equipment, youth activities)
    • Support for a basketball court at The Common Reserve
    • Other active recreation ideas for different age groups
    • Whether the Trenton Court basketball court should be relocated
    • If relocated, preferred features for Trenton Court (e.g. seating, landscaping, social or passive recreation)

  • Non-negotiables

    • Budget allocation for the projects
    • Inclusion of public toilets and other high value elements outside of the district level playground classification
    • Assets and services outside of the Reserve and open space
    • Identified locations (The Common Reserve and Trenton Court open space)
