Consultation has concluded

What is it?

A community facility is a building that acts as a focal point for community interaction; a place where people can build relationships and a community identity; where residents can meet and carry out activities; a place that strengthens the life of a community; and where residents can access community services.

The draft Community Facilities Planning and Design Principles describe how Council will plan and design community facilities into the future.

The Principles will be part of a broader Plan that provides structural policies, objectives and identifies opportunities to assist Council with creating a more liveable City.

What do we need from you?

To understand whether the principles resonate with the community (you) and if this would meet community aspirations in a community facility setting. You can find these principles attached under the 'documents' section.

The City of Casey is embarking on a journey of transformation in the way that we plan for and deliver new and improved facilities. Engagement is at the core of everything we do. Council plans to undertake further Casey-wide community engagement to understand community need and aspirations and to inform community facility planning , delivery and how we will operate into the future.
