What is DEUR?
Doveton Eumemmerring Urban Renewal (DEUR) will keep the community connected and engaged with a range of Council projects occurring in Doveton and Eumemmerring.
These projects include development of a Masterplan for Autumn Place and allocation of State Government funding to encourage community use of the public space around the toilet block in Autumn Place.
What is the draft Autumn Place Masterplan?
The Autumn Place Masterplan will set clear directions for streetscape and public realm improvements such as; toilet, lighting & playground upgrades in order to make Autumn Place a more vibrant centre. To achieve this Council is looking at all of its assets and will consider opportunities to cluster the delivery of services to the community.
How can I have a say on the draft Autumn Place Masterplan?
The Draft Autumn Place Masterplan and feedback forms will be available from 17 to 21 February 2014 at the;
- Doveton Neighbourhood Learning Centre, 34 Oak Avenue Doveton from 9am to 3pm
- Doveton Library, 28 Autumn Place Doveton during business hours and
- Doveton College, 62 Tristania Street, Doveton during school hours.
What if English is not my first language?
Interpreters from the following 5 languages will be available to explain the Autumn Place Masterplan on Saturday 15 February from 9am to 12noon in Autumn Place park.
Arabic, Chinese, Sinhalese, Dari & Hindi.

What were the key findings of Council's survey?
The survey results highlight that Autumn Place is used primarily for basic convenience shopping such as; groceries, postal and newsagency items, cheap goods, takeaway food and coffee and pharmacy items.
The convenience shopping focus of the visits also is highlighted by the fact that:
- About 65% of respondents indicated that they would spend 30 minutes of less and less than $30 on a visit,
- 75% of respondents indicated that they would come to the centre either daily or more than once a week.
The key features that residents most like about Autumn Place is that it is local and convenient, has good parking and is not too busy.
The key features that residents don't like about Autumn Place are that the public spaces are unsafe, there is a limited variety of shops and there are some parking and other issues.
