Exciting News, Ebony Street Reserve (also known as Kingdom Drive Playground) is getting an upgrade!

As part of the Council’s Playground Renewal Program, we’re planning to upgrade playground and we want your help to make it awesome.

How you can influence the project

  • Negotiables

    • Add playground equipment (climbing, swings, slides, multi-play)
    • Include more types of play within the same space
    • Improve seating and places to gather
    • Add plants and trees to improve landscaping
    • Choose colours, materials, and overall look of the playground
    • Use community feedback on play experiences and preferences
    • Upgrade park items (picnic tables, bins, drinking fountains)

  • Non-negotiables

    • Stay within the approved budget and timelines
    • Keep the playground as a small, local facility
    • Keep the playground in its current location
    • Protect cultural and heritage values and follow all requirements
    • Allow for drainage and underground services in the design
    • Meet all safety and accessibility standards
    • Keep open space for informal play (e.g. kicking a ball)
    • Protect existing trees and consider nearby homes
