An upgrade nature playground
In August of this year, we asked the community to share their ideas on influencing the future redesign of the Lochard Terrace Reserve (Narre Warren South) Playground. The community told us they preferred soft fall and natural play spaces for climbing, swinging, and sliding. Based on the feedback we received, a draft concept plan has been designed for the existing playground.
The new design seeks to upgrade the existing play equipment with three separate objects for all ages, capabilities, and interests. Based on community feedback, a nature-play approach has been applied to the rest of the site, with the addition of stepping stones, creek beds, and a network of child-size adventure paths that wind through new garden beds and trees. Additionally, timber mulch surfacing in the park is replaced with brightly coloured rubber play surfaces that won't wash away in any future flooding.
You are invited to view the concept design and provide your feedback about the proposed concept design.
Please provide your feedback by 15 December 2024 (5.00pm).
