Project info

The City of Casey are applying for a Local Sport Infrastructure Fund grant from Sport & Recreation Victoria (SRV) to help deliver a much needed upgrade to the floodlighting on the main soccer pitch at Reema Reserve, 22-30 Maryrose Crescent Endeavour Hills.

If successful in receiving the grant funding, the project will allow for greater usage of the facility by our growing community.

Project Details:

The new system will provide an Australian standard lux level of lighting required for soccer and will be designed to ensure the spill of light to surrounding properties is reduced. Further details include;

  • Removal of existing poles
  • Installation of new poles towers each with LED floodlights
  • Lighting to meet AS2560.2.3-2007 Amateur Match Practice Training (100 lux)
  • Upgrade of cabling to floodlight poles towers
  • Upgrade power to the reserve, mains cabling and switchboard

Project will approximately cost $300,000. Therefore the approximate contributions to the project if successful in obtaining the grant would be the following: SRV: $200,000 and Council: $100,000

If successful in gaining the funding, works would occur within the 2024/25 financial year.
