Project info

In 2020, following extensive consultation with the community, The City of Casey adopted the Max Pawsey Reserve Master Plan. The adoption of the Master Plan represents Council's commitment to invest in improving sports reserves and recognising the important role they play for the entire community.

Now in 2024, the Master Plan has gone through the required reviews and updates to reflect current factors and changes needed to ensure the Master Plan is continuously fit for purpose for the growing community throughout the 20 years proposed in the Master Plan.

What is a Master Plan?

The purpose of the Master Plan is to set the strategic direction for development, renewal and management of the Reserve over the next 20 years.

What is included in the Master Plan?

The Master Plan includes:

  • Project information and history
  • A summary of the existing condition
  • The Concept Design Plan
  • A review of the existing conditions and opportunities to consider
  • An Implementation Plan (possible timelines for delivery over a 20-year period)

What has changed in the Master Plan since 2020?

All changes are listed on page 22 of the Master Plan. Some changes include:

  • Updated information and data where there have been changes to be in line with 2024 data and strategies.
  • Implementation Plan: Updated descriptions, timelines, removal of costs due to ongoing changes and removal of projects which have commenced or been completed.
  • Concept Plan:
    • change of scope and location for the Tennis Pavillion,
