We are updating the Casey Municipal Emergency Management Plan

Emergencies can happen at anytime, from bushfires, floods, storms and heatwaves. Every Council in Victoria must have a plan to help prepare, respond to, and recover from emergencies. This plan is called the Municipal Emergency Management Plan (MEMP).

The MEMP outlines;
  • How emergency services and council work together during emergencies.
  • What steps are taken to reduce risks before emergencies happen.
  • How the community can recover after an emergency.
  • Ways that you, as a community member, can prepare and help keep yourself and others safe.

We are currently updating our MEMP and asked community for ideas, experiences, and local knowledge to help build a safer, stronger, and more connected community. A copy of our current MEMP is available here.
