We know that more people than ever are enjoying the City of Casey’s public open spaces. With more than 2,200 open spaces to visit in Casey, there are local parks, gardens, reserves and trails near you.

We’re looking for your feedback on how we maintain our open spaces in Casey. The maintenance of these open spaces includes grass mowing, path edging, garden beds, mulching, weed control and tree maintenance. Are you satisfied with the current standard of maintenance or do you have ideas of areas we could improve in?

    We received 100 responses to our survey with the following snapshot results:

    45% of respondents were aged 35-44

    25% live in Berwick with the balance represented across the municipality

    64% were couples with children living at home

    11% of people did not have English as their first language

    77% of people visited one of the City of Casey public open spaces weekly

    1% visited rarely

    The top 3 things people enjoyed in our public open spaces were

    • Path and trails
    • Trees
    • Wetlands

    When asked what improvements were needed the responses were

    • Path and trails maintained
    • Litter
    • Weed control

    43% rate our maintenance of trees as 'Pretty Good'
