Proposal to Name a Recreation Reserve and Community Centre in Springleaf Avenue, Clyde North
We are seeking community feedback on the proposed names for two important new community facilities in Clyde North: the Springleaf Avenue Recreation Reserve and the future adjoining community centre.
The recreation reserve, currently referred to by its interim name Springleaf Avenue Recreation Reserve, is being developed into a vibrant local hub featuring sports fields, netball courts, a community pavilion, walking paths, landscaping, public art and a playground.
As these facilities near completion, we are undertaking a formal naming process to ensure both the reserve and the community centre receive names that reflect local identity, community sentiment and the character of the surrounding precinct.
The proposed names are:
Springleaf Recreation Reserve
Springleaf Community Centre
This naming process is a legislative requirement under Geographic Names Victoria’s Naming Rules for Places in Victoria (2022). Your input will help ensure the proposed names are meaningful to the community and comply with all official naming standards.
