The project will deliver an upgrade to the existing floodlighting on courts 7,8,9 at the Doveton tennis club located at Robinson Reserve, Doveton.
The new LED floodlights will provide an Australian standard 350 lux level of lighting required for competition tennis and will also be more energy efficient and designed to reduce the spill of light impacting the surrounding area. Further details include;
- Installation of new lighting poles each with LED fixtures
- Lighting to meet AS2560.2.3-2007 Australian standard of 350 lux level
- Upgrade of cabling to floodlight poles
The project is being put forward by Council for funding as part of Sport and Recreation Victoria grant program known as the Local Sports Infrastructure Fund (LSIF).
The project has an estimated cost of approx. $400,000. If successful, the grant amount requested from SRV is $240,000 and council contribution would be $160,000.
