What is Shape Your City about?
The City of Casey is committed to ensuring the diverse voices of our community are reflected in future Council decisions, and our plans for the services you value most – the Shape Your City engagement program is one way that we're bringing this commitment to life.
As Casey continues to grow and change, so to do the needs and aspirations of our community.
To ensure we plan and respond to these effectively, Council is inviting you to help develop a 10-year vision for our City and inform its' four-year Council Plan and four-year and ten-year Finance Plans. You'll also have the opportunity to help shape other key Council strategies including the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan, the Economic Development Strategy, the Asset Management Strategy and the Place and Sustainability Strategy.
Through the Shape your City engagement program all community members can participate and deliberate on decisions regarding infrastructure and service delivery in Casey, from parks and playgrounds, to the arts, community services, local road projects and more. Whatever it is, we want your voice to help shape Casey’s future.

There will also be opportunities to help discuss and deliberate on the big issues and plans impacting our city. Whether it’s parks and playgrounds, the arts, community services, local roads or major infrastructure we want your voice to help shape Casey’s future.
What will you do with our Feedback?
As a community, you have told us that you want to be heard. We’ve listened and are committed to ensuring the diverse voices of our community are reflected in Council decisions and plans for the services and outcomes valued most.
We also understand that you want to know how your voice is included in our decisions or outcomes and we're committed to being open and transparent about what we hear and how we are responding. Regular updates on what we’re hearing and how the voices of our community are being used to Shape your City will be available on this site and through key Council communications.

How can I get involved?
It’s a pretty unique time at the moment! Ensuring that we protect the health and wellbeing of our people and community throughout our engagement is of utmost importance given the challenges with COVID-19 and staged restrictions. That’s why we’ve developed a number of safe and unique ways for you to have your say and Shape your City, online. These opportunities also support our communities’ strong preferences for the convenience and ease of digital engagement.
Our first engagement period is closed, but there is a number of other opportunities planned. To make sure you are updated, or to find out more about these opportunities, click the 'Follow' button at the top of this page.
What if online feedback doesn't suit me?
We appreciate not all community members can or like to participate in online activities so as restrictions change over coming months, we’ll explore alternative ways to hear your ideas – stay tuned!
What happens next?
The project team is currently working on preparation of a summary report of what we've heard across the community which will identify key areas that require further engagement with you. You'll be able to access the summary report right here on Casey Conversations as well as through other Council communication channels.
