What does Casey need?

As part of planning for the new Selandra Integrated Community Centre, Council wants to hear from the community about your ideas and hopes for the future facility.

Why is Council seeking your ideas?

A new Community Centre will include a range of spaces, services and programs for local communities including Cranbourne East and Clyde North. It is important that a broad range of community members contribute their ideas to ensure that the future facility reflects the true needs of these communities both now and into the future.

The Community Centre will be located near the proposed medical and retail precincts along Linsell Boulevard, near the Selandra Rise Retirement Village. The site of the Community Centre will be approximately 2000m2 adjacent to 1200m2 of public open space.

Ideas could be about the design of the facility or the neighbouring open space, the types of programs and services which will be available for the community to use, the style and feel, or even the name of the new facility.

Thanks for your feedback!

Council recently consulted with the community to input into the design of the planned Selandra Integrated Community Centre and connecting precinct along Linsell Boulevard in Selandra Rise, Clyde North.

Community members were asked to contribute their ideas to ensure that the future facility reflects the true needs of the Cranbourne East and Clyde North communities, both now and into the future.

This feedback is currently being collated and will help shape the initial concept plan. Residents will be provided with an opportunity to have a say on the concept design once developed. Watch this space!

The Berwick Toy Library (BTL) is a not for profit incorporated association that has been supporting local families and caregivers for over 20 years to access educational toys, puzzles and games for babies, toddlers and pre-school children. Members contribute a small annual membership fee to attend regular sessions to borrow from our large toy collection. The library is entirely managed and run by volunteers and we currently have over 50 members.

Casey families benefit from the toy library through:

•Having access to over 600 quality educational items available for loan

•Borrowing toys that are matched to each individual child’s needs,... Continue reading
