The City of Casey is one of Victoria’s largest municipalities, with rapid population growth and urbanisation our community faces many diverse social, economic and environmental opportunities and challenges.

To overcome these challenges, take advantage of new opportunities and meet the changing needs of our community, we need to explore how we can better utilise technology and data.

The Smart Casey Launchpad program focuses on bringing people together to enable innovation, while also guiding how Council harnesses data and technology to build a connected, sustainable, inclusive and innovative community.

Engagement process and purpose:

In July, Council invited Casey’s community to share ideas on how we can use technology and data in new and innovative ways to better meet the needs of our community now and in the future.

Throughout the consultation process, community feedback played a key role in shaping the program. It was also during this process the program evolved from a strategy to a program to allow for more flexibility in adjusting the program to meet changing trends and needs.
