We're excited to share the concept design for the renew of the Wilson Botanic Park Play Precinct.

This next stage of consultation invites you to provide feedback on the look, feel, and social spaces within the proposed design.

Theconcept design has been shaped by earlier community engagement undertaken in 2021, where we heard that the park is highly valued for its natural setting and timber play elements. You also told us there is a need for improved accessibility, more opportunities for different age groups, better shade and seating, and enhanced safety.

The proposed design responds to this feedback and aligns with the vision outlined in the Wilson Botanic Park Master Plan 2022. It is guided by a “Root & Route” theme:

Root – celebrating the site’s history, from quarry to a much-loved botanic park and community space
Route – improving accessibility and creating a more inclusive play experience for people of all ages and abilities

At this stage, we’re seeking your input to help refine the landscaping and social areas, including places to sit, gather, and connect within the play precinct.

Your feedback will help shape the final design.
