Thank you to everyone that submitted an application to the Women and Girls Gender Equality Task force, the City of Casey received 37 applications with 25 women being chosen as members. The Task Force, reflects the diversity of women and girls in Casey in terms of age, Indigenous status, cultural and linguistic background, sexuality, gender identity, education and income levels, employment status, carer roles, etc. The youngest member selected is 16 and the oldest 64 with each decade in between represented. Council look forward to working with the Task Force to help shape policy and promote gender equality in the City of Casey now and into the future.
