The Casey community is invited to have their say on the draft Casey Digital Equity Framework.

The City of Casey are creating a Digital Equity Framework to enhance the lives of Casey community members by helping them better engage and participate in an increasingly online world.

The COVID-19 lockdown in 2020 highlighted issues of digital inequity across Casey. Many services and activities went exclusively online for the first time and this brought about a range of challenges for many within our community.

Casey Council wants to ensure that all individuals and communities in the City of Casey have opportunities for full participation in our society, democracy, and economy. In developing the Framework, extensive community consultation was undertaken, the complete findings can be viewed in the engagement report.

The Casey Digital Equity Framework details:

• the challenges experienced by some when participating online
• digital inclusion initiatives that can support greater online participation, and
• the role that Casey Council and partners can play in building a digitally equitable future.
