Delivery of the Dandenong Bypass extension to connect the eastern end of the existing Dandenong Bypass at the South Gippsland Highway to the South Gippsland Freeway, providing a direct east–west link between the South Gippsland Freeway and the Western Port Highway.

The project will ease congestion on the South Gippsland Highway and surrounding local roads, complete the bypass of the Dandenong Activity Centre, and improve traffic efficiency across the broader network. By improving east–west connectivity, the project will also support access to and growth of the Noble Park and Springvale activity centres, strengthening economic activity and movement across Melbourne’s south-east.
