About the project
Upgrades are required to deliver a future east–west arterial route connecting Officer South to the Dandenong South employment area, extending from Frankston–Dandenong Road to Officer South Road.
Benefits include:
- Improve connectivity between growing residential communities and major employment hubs in Casey, Cardinia, and Dandenong
- Strengthen access to more than 65,000 jobs across Dandenong, Casey Central, Officer South, and Cardinia
- Create a new east–west transport link to support future growth
Delivery stages:
- Stage 1: Narre Warren–Cranbourne Road to William Thwaites Boulevard (initial and most critical section)
- Stage 2A: Frankston–Dandenong Road to Western Port Highway
- Stage 2B: Western Port Highway to South Gippsland Highway
- Stage 3: Ferdinand Drive to Officer South Road (completes the full corridor)
