Community Consultation Closes

Project information



The City of Casey is undertaking public consultation on the draft Manuka Road Development Plan (the Plan) which applies to land in the Manuka Road Precinct, Berwick and is affected by a Development Plan Overlay under the Casey Planning Scheme. The Precinct is bounded by Manuka Road to the west, Allan Street to the south and the Cardinia Creek Regional Parklands to the north and east.

Planning Scheme Amendment C231 to the Casey Planning Scheme was gazetted on 20 May 2021 and resulted in the rezoning of the land to the Neighbourhood Residential Zone and the application of a Development Plan Overlay. The amendment also amended the boundaries of the two Heritage Overlays within the precinct.

You are invited to participate in the public consultation for the draft Development Plan which will be open until 11:59pm 29 January 2023.

Informational Drop-in Session

Council officers will also host an Informational Drop-in Session at Berwick Leisure Centre, 79 Manuka Road, Berwick, on Wednesday 14 December from 3:00pm to 6:30pm. Please drop in anytime during this session to learn more about the Development Plan.


Participate

You are invited to formally advise us of your opinion by making a submission to the Development Plan. In your submission we encourage you to communicate what you like or would like changed.

Submissions must be made in writing and can be submitted via the below online form, email or in writing and addressed to Rex Zhang, Senior Strategic Planner. Submissions must include a property address and contact phone number.
