The Ask

The City of Casey is advocating for delivery of a continuous east–west active transport connection linking communities northeast of the rail line with the Narre Warren Metropolitan Activity Centre, Narre Warren Village, Fountain Gate and the railway station. The project includes a new active transport bridge over the railway line and Narre Warren–Cranbourne Road, providing a safe and direct crossing over the arterial and rail corridor, removing a major barrier for people walking and cycling to key destinations.

The bridge connection can be complemented by a new path connection from Saxonwood Drive or Vimini Drive, strengthening direct access to the station precinct and surrounding activity centres.

Residents currently face significant challenges crossing Narre Warren–Cranbourne Road, with limited and unsafe walking and cycling options. Together, the bridge and improved path connections will deliver a safe, continuous and connected route between established residential areas and major employment, education, shopping and transport hubs—supporting healthier travel choices and a more accessible local network.
