Council is advocating for regular and timely maintenance of State managed roads including vegetation on roadsides, median strips, roundabouts, and other non-council owned assets. Data collected during community consultation for Casey’s Road Management Plan indicates that over 63% of road concerns raised by residents were for State Government Roads.
Issues frequently raised by residents include road surface condition, potholes, roadside vegetation, litter, insufficient road capacity, and requests for intersection upgrades.
