The Ask
The City of Casey is advocating for the delivery of safe pedestrian crossing and connecting paths, to link residential areas on both sides of the Highway to essential services.
Residents on both sides of the South Gippsland Highway currently face significant barriers accessing essential services in Tooradin, including bus stops and Tooradin Primary School. The lack of safe crossing opportunities forces vulnerable users—particularly children and families—to navigate a highly-trafficked arterial road.
Providing a safer and more direct pedestrian connection will improve access to education, public transport and local facilities, supporting community safety and strengthening walkability within the township.
