Project Background
The City of Casey is developing a Public Toilet Framework to guide how public toilets are planned, designed, built, and managed across the municipality. The goal is to make sure these facilities are safe, inclusive, easy to access, and meet the needs of all community members.
To help shape the framework, Council is inviting feedback from the community—especially from groups who may face barriers to using public toilets, like older adults, people with disabilities, gender-diverse individuals, CALD residents, and parents or caregivers. Your input will help us understand what works, what doesn’t, and what matters most when it comes to public toilets in Casey.
What information do we need from the community?
We want to hear from you about your experiences and expectations when it comes to public toilets in Casey. Whether you're an older adult, a parent, someone with a disability, gender-diverse, or from a culturally diverse background—your insights will help us understand what works, what doesn’t, and what’s missing.
Your feedback will help shape the design and principles of Casey’s Public Toilet Framework, making sure it reflects what our community values most. Later this year, we’ll also share the draft Framework so you can see how your input has helped guide the plan and support better, safer, and more inclusive facilities across the city.
