Under the Local Government Act, the council must develop a community vision and long-term planning documents to support the vision.

The community vision is a community-led and informed document that outlines our aspirations for the future of the city.

Our community Vision 2031 was created by our community in 2020 and now we are checking in with our community to make sure that it still represents a future they want to see in Casey.

During Shape Your City 2024, we invited every community member to participate in activities, events and conversations and you told us what matters to you most.

Your feedback helped us to develop our new Council Plan 2025-2029, which is how Council helps to deliver our community’s Vision.

This community consultation follows the Local Government Act 2020 and Council's Engagement Policy 2020.

The Shape Your City 2024 community consultation informed the review of the Community Vision 2031 and the development of the:

Public exhibition of strategic documents	17 April 2025	8 May 2024 (5:00 pm)	Council will put all long-term strategic documents up for public exhibition to consider community feedback before adoption at a Council in 2025.

Following the close of community engagement on 7 July 2024, community and stakeholder feedback will be analysed and considered when reviewing the Community Vision and developing the long-term strategic documents.

A Community Engagement Summary report will be developed and shared with the community via Casey Conversations.

Draft documents will be developed and put on public exhibition from 17 April to 8 May 2025. Our councillors can hear submissions at a special council meeting on Tuesday, 27 May 2025.

Council will consider the documents at council Meeting on Tuesday 17 June 2025.
